ANTIGONE

About This Production

I adapted this Greek classic into a 60-minute, six-person version centered on Antigone. The result was a production designed specifically for a 40-seat black box theater, which could accommodate a maximum cast of six.

I accomplished this by removing the choral odes and replacing them with movement-based transitions and singing. This allowed me to reshape the Chorus into a two-person ensemble that portrayed multiple roles, including the Messenger, Tiresias, and Eurydice.
